Welcome to my blog! I hope that you find this to be a useful way to keep up communication while we are out of school. I have talked to the kids about keeping up with a few activities if we do not have school. IF we come to school tomorrow, the kids do NOT need to do any of the following activities, as we will complete them during class time this week.

Students will complete 10 questions in section "i" on Apostrophes. If they have not taken the pretest yet, they will be asked to do so first. This activity is not a grade, however, it is required if school is canceled. If they chose to do more activities on their own, they may do so.
Reading:
Each child was given a brand new Guided Reading book today. If school is canceled, they have been asked to read the book cover to cover and complete their job assignment in their reading journal. If school is not canceled, we will be reading these in class.
Also, a reading passage went hoome on Monday for homework. This is due on Wednesday. If school is canceled it will be due the day we return.
Book Fair:
We have signed up to purchase our books from Book Fair tomorrow at 12:45-1:15. If we have school, I hope that you can join us for lunch and come to the book fair with us. I have asked the kids to bring their money tomorrow OR whichever day we return to school.
Field Trip on Thursday:
We plan on having the field trip on Thursday. If anything changes on this, I will send you an email.
